This billion-dollar hedge fund gave us a brief to design and install an “opulent but functional” office including boardroom, trading room, reception area, tea point, break out space, gym and shower, in a prestigious but relatively limited space. Our designer chose to express the required opulence with an eclectic mix of bespoke features, furniture and finishes using a rich palette of materials. DRCG project managed every aspect of this transformation providing consultancy on trading technology, space planning, mechanical and engineering (M&E) and furniture to ensure that the workspace would be productive as well as being comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
The completed workspace had many bespoke features and specialist finishes. The glazed walls of the trading room featured floor to ceiling, bronze-coloured mining images to represent the client’s core trading focus. The elegant outer partition wall of the boardroom was made up of contemporary veneered wooden panels with a blue glass lightbox band across the middle to colour code with the reception desk. The shower room featured two types of marble, white porcelain and glass with chrome fittings.
As the leading fit-out specialist for trading floors and dealing rooms we also provide trading technology consultancy. We advised Clive Capital on trader voice, data and compliance solutions. We also designed and built the Comms Room and installed uninterruptible power supplies. For security we installed a biometric access control system and CCTV and fitted an Inergen fire suppression and leak detection system.
As well as having exclusive access to a range of customisable trading desks and flat screen arms, DRCG consults on the design and supply of custom furniture.
